Description

Seeking a dynamic front office assistant for an entry-level position at a well-established dental practice in Downtown Decatur with a patient base that spans 50 years! Our ideal front office assistant will possess an energetic personality to greet our patients, direct phone calls, and complete administrative tasks. We offer continuing education and unlimited potential for career growth. This position is full-time M-F, 7:45 am - 4 pm. Benefits and pay range: * $18 an hour (salary commensurate with experience) * Paid holidays, vacation/sick pay, 401K Dental Office Assistant Responsibilities * Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice. * Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed. * Assisting patients in filling out information forms. * Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures. * Scheduling and confirming patient dental appointments. * Communicating with dental insurance providers to determine patientsand#39; benefits and eligibility. * Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed. * Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing. * Excellent knowledge of and the ability to apply information management principles to work daily * Ability to keep records and patientsand#39; personal information private Dental Receptionist Requirements: * Positive Attitude * High school diploma or GED. * Proficient in Google Drive: Docs, Spreadsheet, Slides * Previous experience working in the dental field. (preferred but not required) * Knowledge of dental terminology. (preferred but not required) * Proficient in dental practice management software Dentrix Ascend. (preferred but not required) * Working knowledge of general administrative practices. * Good telephone etiquette. * Exceptional organizational skills. * Excellent customer service skills.
