Job description We are searching for a highly skilled and seasoned Certified Dental Assistant who will make our offices more efficient and pleasant for our discerning patients! The opportunity to make a difference in our patients lives is large and you are not just a number. We are a small, boutique fee for service practice, offering elective treatments (sleep studies, appliances, and restorative procedures) to relieve chronic pain, from malocclusion, restricted airways, and other TMJ complications. Our work is extremely interesting, and our patients respect the Doctor and his treatments as we are often their last resort. Schedule: 4 days a week in our Oxon Hill location hours: 8:30am - 5:30-6:30 pm. 1 day a week (rotating Tuesdays and Thursdays) at our Bethesda location hours: 11:30am - 730pm (no traffic!) Responsibilities: Welcome our patients in the dental office as well as check them out upon leaving. Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the Doctor through 6 handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule follow up appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Minimum 4-5 years experience as a Certified Dental assistant (Must have proof of Certification) Maryland Dental X-Ray Current Certification required (Must have proof of certification) Expanded Function (Not required but preferred) Experienced working six handed dentistry Excellent Bed Side manners Solid computer skills Understanding of health andamp; safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Cross trained front andamp; and back Excellent communication and people skills High attention to detail Well-organized and extremely reliable is a must Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Job Type: Full-time M-F Salary: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour Based on Experience Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Experience: Certified Dental Assistant: 4 years (Required) Expanded Function ($$) 6 Handed Dentistry Maryland X-Ray Certification (Required) Please confirm you are able to travel to both offices as noted in the advertisement Work Location: Multiple Locations-Bethesda, MD- 1 Day a week/National Harbor MD - 4 Days per week.
