We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Treatment Coordinator to join our dental practice, specializing in providing dental care to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. As a Treatment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and delivering exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating treatment plans, ensuring accurate funding source, and providing administrative support to the dental team. Experience with Dentrix is essential for this role. Responsibilities: Collaborate with dental professionals, facility staff, and patient families to coordinate treatment plans for residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Schedule and coordinate dental visits, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. Conduct pre-visit screenings and assessments to gather necessary patient information, including consents, funding source, and demographics. Verify patient eligibility and coverage with Medicaid and submit insurance claims as needed. Process Medicaid and insurance claims accurately and efficiently, adhering to established guidelines and regulations. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and funding information. Provide administrative support to the dental team, including managing appointment calendars, coordinating referrals, and handling patient inquiries. Communicate with facility staff and patient families to provide updates, obtain necessary authorizations, and address any concerns or issues. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in dental assisting, dental hygiene, or healthcare administration is preferred. Proven experience as a Treatment Coordinator in a dental practice, preferably with a focus on servicing nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Proficiency in using Dentrix dental practice management software. Strong knowledge of Medicaid IME claims processing, including eligibility verification, claim submission, and reimbursement procedures. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and processing claims. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with dental professionals, facility staff, and patient families. Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and treatment planning. Ability to adapt to changing environments and work independently with minimal supervision. Professional demeanor and the ability to provide compassionate care to elderly patients. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
