Description: The job you want and the place you want to work! A registered dental hygienist works directly with patients, staff, and dentists as a licensed dental health care provider. Beyond cleaning teeth, hygienists coach their patients about the most effective oral health techniques, educate them about the cause of dental disease, and make them aware of dental treatments that could enrich their lives. First and foremost, the hygienist acts ethically and demonstrates leadership in the office by delivering exemplary care and compassion to the patients and staff alike. Responsibilities: Treat every patient like a VIP! -Review all patients records prior to seating first patient -Set up operatory -Seat patient -Obtain consent for treatment -Review medical history with the patient -Take necessary radiographs -Update patient chart -Deliver the appropriate type of cleaning based on the patientsand#39; needs and prescription of the doctor -Enter correct procedure codes into the computer chart -Assist with the doctor exam -Record clinical notes accurately and thoroughly -Clean and disinfect operatory -Sterilize and sharpen instruments -Work as a team-member on any challenge that arises in the dental office -Maintain license and continuing education requirements Requirements: Be a caring, compassionate person with experience and we can learn the rest together. -Experience: 1and#43; years preferred but recent graduates will be considered -Education: At minimum, an associates degree in dental hygiene from an accredited school is required for this job -Licensure: Active license for practice of hygiene in the state of GA will be verified prior to hiring any candidate. Certification of CPR will also be verified.
