Description

Attend to patients on the phone and in person. Co-ordinate and organize appointments and administration to facilitate the efficient running of the dental office. Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities our office is fully automated and uses Ai to help with all duties greet patients register new patient information and forward necessary paperwork electronically Receive patient information electronically, review for correctness, place into our practice management system (OPEN Dental) assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation verify and update patient information inform patients of dental office procedures and policies move patients through appointments as scheduled enter all relevant patient information into data system maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations answer and manage incoming calls respond and comply to requests for information schedule patient appointments confirm upcoming appointments and recalls not confirmed electronically check daily appointment schedules fill in cancellations and no-shows organize referrals to other medical/dental specialists collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment inform patients of financial treatment plan options work with our insurance coordinator to verify benefits communicate with patients via email and text (WEAVE) review and answer emails monitor and maintain inventory of dental office supplies update patient education materials maintain a professional reception area safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality Education and Experience general education degree or high school diploma 2 years of front office experience knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant software applications knowledge of dental practice management software and data entry knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures working knowledge of dental insurance and insurance codes Key Competencies and Skills communication skills information collection and management planning and organizing accuracy customer service skills team work initiative adaptability confidentiality If you have had any experience with dental assisting or have an x-ray license please inform us in you application This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Autonomous/Independent -- enjoys working with little direction Innovative -- prefers working in unconventional ways or on tasks that require creativity
