Seeking a Licensed Dental Hygienist: with a minimum of 2-3 years experience, a sincere interest in caring for people, operating in a team-oriented environment, and being involved in multiple aspects of the practice. Requirements: Valid RDH License in Texas, Hep B vaccines, TSBDE Continuing Education Hours, Valid Drivers License or State ID. Verbal skills in patient and OHI product education. Gentle hand skills are a must in all levels of prophylaxis and periodontal therapies. Patients’ ages range from 5 years and up. Our Hygienists need the ability to measure periodontal charts independently or with assistance. Our Office is upbeat with outgoing personalities, a fast-paced work environment, and team-oriented workflow. Customer service is key to our success. We utilize specific service skills to create a positive work environment. We introduce many new patients to our practice, starting with the Dental Hygienist gathering diagnostic information like x-rays, photos, periodontal charting, medical history, medications list, and pertinent information for the Dentist to make an appropriate Periodontal Diagnosis. The Dentist performs the exam separately. Communication between the Hygienist, Dental Assistants, Front Office team, the Dentist, and patient is imperative and unique to our practice. Identifying and obtaining additional information for the Dentist in regard to treatment planning is imperative. Training will be provided on an effective 2 on 1 transfer between team members. Scheduling recare appointments, treatment, and understanding dental insurance breakdowns is required. Our Hygienists review and prepare the appropriate procedures for their daily schedule. Cross training is key in our busy private Dental practice, so we help one another with daily tasks, sterilization, stocking, cleaning, and other office tasks during potential down time. Experience with Dentrix is highly encouraged. We would like a team member who finds value in the dentistry we provide at Cibolo Dental and seeks a long-term dental home for their career.
