State of the Art Smiles is excited to announce we are currently hiring for a Dental Assistant! Surgical Dental office in Pickerington, OH Our office is a small but fast pace office located in the village of Pickerington looking for a dental assistant wanted for technically advanced, service oriented office. We are looking for the right person to join our team. Must be self motivated, able to take direction, comfortable with change and committed to continuing education. We work hard, but believe in having a good time with each other and our patients who are like family to us. We are growing quickly and are in need of a part/full time dental assistant who is flexible with days and hours. This new hire would be able to do it all, from answering the phones, keeping up on sterilization to assisting the Dr on filling/crown procedures to full mouth rehab with dental implants, bone grafting and all on 4 procedures. We are looking for the right 2 candidates to fill this position. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during all dental procedures (Fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, implant placement, large dental implant procedures.) Take very accurate Impressions/Scans on patients- we use Trios Scanning for Crowns, Bridges, Dentures etc. 3D Printing Models- Sprint Ray 3D Printing Staining/Glazing AllONX Prothesis Take and record patient medical and dental histories, medications, and medical history. Take accurate measurements of patients teeth and gums (such as size, shape, and surfaces) to prepare patient for upcoming surgery. Assist dentist on extractions, bone grafting, implant placements. Extraction of wisdom teeth. Preparing instruments for sterilization or cleaning. Following a strict protocol on implant surgeries. Help with front office duties if needed for example: answering phones, scanning patient paperwork in, making phone calls, scheduling appointments. Qualifications: Xray certified MUST HAVE DENTAL EXPERIENCE! Must be a team player who is willing to work as a part of a team in a friendly, fast-paced environment. prior dental surgery/oral surgery experience preferred. Organized and ready to work! Pays close attention to detail. Must have the ability to use appropriate equipment and techniques on a daily basis. A positive attitude and the ability to communicate well with patients and other team members. Pay is $18-24 hourly with a 35-40 hour work week. PTO is granted after 6 months of employment.
