pOur BLVD Ortho Team has an opening for a Part Time Traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant. We provide a working environment like no other dental office you have ever seen! We offer all this and a compensation package that includes health insurance plans, a competitive bonus structure, PTO and 401k./ppstrongResponsibilities /strong/pulliCommunicates with the patients (parents/guardians), orthodontist and other team/lilimembers effectively/liliPrepares all orthodontic treatment rooms in advance of/liliorthodontic patient/liliHandles hazardous chemicals in a safe manner/liliRestocks all orthodontic treatment rooms and other clinical support areas/liliPerforms periodic inventory of all orthodontic supplies/liliResponsible for traveling crate of orthodontic supplies between multiple locations/liliWelcomes patients to treatment rooms in a timely fashion/liliKeeps the patient schedule on time by being aware of the daily schedule, working efficiently and as a member of a cohesive team /liliTakes x-rays as prescribed/liliAssists the orthodontist with all registered dental assisting duties, including orthodontic procedures/liliRecords treatment rendered/liliInstructs patients in oral hygiene/liliEscorts patient to the business area for follow-up and scheduling/liliMay be called upon to schedule next appointment/liliSterilizes instruments and equipment after each patient appointment/liliMaintains cleanliness of treatment rooms and sterilization area/liliCan accept constructive criticism/liliIs proficient in using conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques in managing interpersonal conflict and patient complaints Is organized, motivated, committed and self-directed/liliDemonstrates ability to use assigned computer software and other equipment/liliCompletes annual education and/or licensing requirements, if applicable/liliMaintains dependable job attendance/liliAdheres to all safety and infection control rules/liliUses appropriate safety equipment./liliComplies with HIPAA and maintains confidential information/liliPerforms other duties as assigned/li/ulpstrongQualifications /strong/pulliIn depth knowledge of all orthodontics dental assistant duties/lili1 year of previous experience assisting in an orthodontic setting/liliAll required certifications for dental assisting/liliAbility to travel to multiple locations within a territory to provide orthodontic dental assisting services is required/liliMay be required to work some Saturdays as needed/li/ulp/p
