Part-time Registered Dental Hygienist position available for an upscale, fee for service pediatric dental practice located in Buckhead (I-75 and West Paces Ferry Rd). We are looking for a hygienist to work two days each week. We are looking for an upbeat, dependable, highly motivated professional with terrific communication skills. If you are a team player and committed to providing excellent patient care, we would love to have you join our team. Must hold a degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license. Also, must be able to pass a background check. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in a pediatric dental office. Responsibilities will include: • Educate and counsel patients/parents on dental health, plaque control, oral hygiene and nutrition at the patient/family level of understanding • Remove plaque and calculus deposits from teeth and take necessary dental x-rays • Supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment • Creates a professional relationship with the patient and family • Maintains hygiene instruments in good working condition • Assists in maintenance of dental equipment, instruments, operators, x-ray processor, sterilization equipment/procedures • Competent in sealant placement and application of silver diamine flouride
