We are looking for a Dental Hygienist for Wednesdays Our work environment includes: Modern office setting Intra Oral Scanner Strong hygiene program Responsibilities: - Perform dental cleanings and oral examinations for patients - Take dental x-rays - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations - Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments - Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records - Follow infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff Skills: - Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting and instrument sterilization - Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry, such as panoramic and intraoral x-rays - Understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures and conditions - Strong knowledge of infection control practices to prevent the spread of diseases in a dental setting - Ability to assess patientsand#39; oral health conditions and identify potential issues or areas of concern - Familiarity with medical coding systems used for billing and insurance purposes - Skilled in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures - Proficiency in Open Dental software for scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality This is not an exhaustive list, but rather a summary of the key responsibilities and skills required for the role of Dental Hygienist.
