Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist (Part-Time, 2 Days a Week) Duties: - Dental Cleanings: Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis, to maintain optimal oral health for patients. - Periodontal Assessments: Conduct comprehensive periodontal assessments and provide appropriate treatment recommendations. - Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, nutritional guidance, and preventive care to enhance and maintain their oral health. - X-Ray and Imaging: Take and analyze dental x-rays and other diagnostic imaging as needed. - Treatment Planning Support: Collaborate with the dentist and lead dental assistant in developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatments, assessments, and recommendations. - Sterilization and Infection Control: Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. Required Skills: - Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH): Current license to practice as a dental hygienist in the state. - Patient-Centered Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain dental procedures and oral health recommendations in a clear and empathetic manner. - X-Ray Certification: Proficient in taking and analyzing dental x-rays. - Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care. Preferred Skills: - Holistic Dentistry Certification: Additional training or certification in holistic dental hygiene is a plus. - Experience with Dental Practice Software: Familiarity with dental practice management software for efficient record-keeping and scheduling. - Flexible and Adaptable: Ability to adapt to the holistic dental practiceand#39;s unique approach and work in a dynamic environment.
