We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hygiene Coordinator to support our dental team by managing and optimizing our hygiene schedule. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and exceptional patient care within our hygiene department.
Job Responsibilities:
• Scheduling Management: Effectively schedule hygiene appointments to ensure a smooth and efficient flow throughout the day. Utilize scheduling software to maintain an organized calendar for all hygiene services.
• Appointment Follow-Up: Monitor and follow up on broken or cancelled hygiene appointments promptly. Reach out to patients to reschedule and fill gaps in the schedule, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.
• Productivity Enhancement: Continuously assess and adjust the hygiene schedule to maximize productivity. Work closely with the dental team to ensure optimal use of resources and time.
• Treatment Plan Coordination: Identify patients with outstanding hygiene treatment plans. Coordinate with the dental team to follow up on these plans, ensuring patients receive necessary care and understand the importance of maintaining their dental health.
• Patient Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for hygiene patients. Provide exceptional customer service, answering inquiries and explaining procedures to enhance patient understanding and satisfaction.
• Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry, patient documentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in dental administration or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in dental office management or appointment scheduling is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on patient-focused service.
• Proficiency in using dental software and office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, Google Suite).
