The hiring process can often feel like a balancing act. Potential candidates should be skilled enough to tick all the job requirements while also being a good fit for the practice – something easier said than done. A lack of internal recruitment and job marketing know-how can also prolong the hiring process.

DentalPost’s easy-to-navigate Employer Dashboard facilitates dental appointing and recruiting. This intuitive tool guides employers through each step to find their ideal dental candidates.

Let’s take a behind-the-scenes look at our Employer Dashboard to see what you can expect from the dental industry’s premier online and mobile job board.

7 of the Best Hiring Features for Dental Practice Employers

Feature 1: Easy-To-Navigate Employer Dashboard

DentalPost’s Employer Dashboard has a clear and intuitive user interface that allows you to post a job ad, filter candidates, or browse resumes from one central account.

Once logged in, you’ll have access to a personal dashboard that shows the features you’d use most frequently, including shortcuts to your active job postings, resume searches, and assessments. You can also view any upcoming interviews and offers available via the dashboard.

A search bar at the top right-hand corner of the dashboard is where you can search for anything you can’t locate at a glance.

Feature 2: Step-By-Step Dental Job Posting Widget

After familiarizing yourself with your dashboard, it’s time to post a job ad. Follow this easy five-step process to create a job post by position and location.

Step 1: Choose Position

Step 1 requires that you choose the position for your job ad. You can click on the icon for the relevant Dental Assistant, Dental Front Office, Dental Hygienist, Dental Lab Tech, Dental Sales Rep, or Dentist position and move to Step 2.

Step 2:  Choose a Job Type

This step allows you to state the job’s specifics, such as whether the posting is for a temporary or permanent position. If you need a candidate to help you grow your practice in the long term, you will click the “Post Permanent Job” button.

Step 3: Confirm Your Location

Once you’ve chosen the type of posting you’d like to create, you’ll be redirected to a page that prompts you to choose the location related to the job ad.

You can either select your office address or enter a postal code to pick up your location automatically.

Step 4: Choose Your Product

Because we understand that no two practices are identical, we’ve personalized our product offering to meet your unique hiring needs and budget. Our product page includes basic to super-premium job postings, dental resume search options, and bulk packages.

Purchase your product of choice to begin entering the details of the job opening. Your job posting stays on our site for 30 days and is emailed to all opted-in job seekers in your area.

An Overview of Some of Our Dental Job Posting Products
  • Our 30-day Basic Job Posting is $119 and gives you more bang for less buck than other job portals. Keep in mind that you will forgo access to candidate assessments and photos if you choose this option.
  • If you’re filling a permanent position, we recommend selecting the most popular Premium Job Posting with Hire Smarter Data. For $189, you can get a feel for candidates by viewing candidate profile photos. Our candidate matching technology gives you access to candidate personality assessment data that will assist you in making a hiring decision.

A few benefits include:

  • Boosted search engine syndication
  • Email alerts for applications
  • Advanced screening features
  • Interview scheduling
  • Access to the candidate assessments

Step 5: Enter Details of the Job Opening

Here is where your wordsmithing will come in handy as the online form prompts you to fill in the necessary details, ultimately creating your final job ad for potential candidates to view.

Feature 3: Match by DentalPost

Save time and money with DentalPost’s proprietary matching algorithm, Match, available with every Premium Job Post and Resume Search. Simply complete the Match Questionnaire, and this feature sorts through thousands of profiles in a resume search or all your job posting applicants to help you find the candidate you need. This powerful algorithm works by considering multiple data points, including how recently candidates have logged in, to give a percentage score rating corresponding to your questionnaire preferences. Match makes it fast and easy to know who the best and most likely-to-respond candidates are.

Feature 4: Dental Candidate Card & List Views

Our card and list views help you not get bogged down with too much detail at the beginning of your applicant reviews. You can review and screen candidates’ essential information – i.e., their match scores, profile scores, and assessment insights – at a glance to ‘favorite’ their profiles for a more in-depth review later.

Feature 5: SmartView for Unbiased Screening

No matter how professional we may be, unconscious bias can stop us from objectively looking at a candidate’s fit. We may overlook a perfect candidate because of age, ethnicity, gender, or physical appearance.

DentalPost’s SmartView feature helps reduce this bias in the initial candidate screening stage of hiring. SmartView temporarily hides names and photos of potential candidates so you can rate profiles based on scores, skills, and assessments to expand your candidate pool to find better matches.

Once ready, you can disable SmartView to reveal the candidate’s complete profile details.

Feature 6: Online Assessments for Building Dental Practice Profiles

Our online DISC, Emotional Intelligence, Employer Culture, Technology, and Core Values Assessments work in favor of both the dental employer and job seeker. As the employer, you can highlight your company’s core values, work environment, tech, and office skills. This information lets dental job seekers identify if they’d be a suitable cultural fit for your practice. Explore all of our assessments and their significance here.

Feature 7: Scheduled Interviews & Message Center

An interview calendar helps you stay on top of your interview schedule so you don’t miss interview dates or double-book yourself. The message center allows you to reach out to potential dental employees directly via the app or website.
