Event Details

The goal of this course is to describe the materials used for matrices in class II composites and the wedges and rings used to adapt sectional matrix bands and provide tooth separation. Different matrix bands (sectional and circumferential), wedges (wooden, plastic, solid, hollow), and rings will be described. This review will summarize advantages and disadvantages of various options for this armamentarium. Additionally, several clinical applications of PTFE tape for class II restorations will be described. Finally, techniques for matrix placement in difficult clinical scenarios will be discussed.
