Job Title: Lead Dental Assistant Location: Richmond, Tx Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Dentist Rotating schedule Mon - Thurs then Tues- Fri so we have a 4 day weekend followed by a 2 day weekend Monday 12-6 Tues and wed 8-5 Thurs 9-6 Fri 7-3 Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the highest standard of patient care. This role requires leadership, excellent communication skills, and a strong clinical background. Key Responsibilities: *Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, crowns, and more *Ensure compliance with all OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines and regulations *Manage inventory, order dental supplies, and ensure operatory rooms are fully stocked and sterilized *Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) *Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records *Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care *Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs *Collaborate with administrative staff to maintain efficient patient flow and scheduling *Coronal polishing Qualifications: *Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification (required) *Minimum of 3–5 years of dental assisting experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or senior role *Current CPR/BLS certification *Excellent knowledge of de⁷ntal procedures, instruments, and materials *Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills *Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) Preferred Qualifications: *Expanded functions certification (polishing) *Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus Compensation & Benefits: *Competitive salary commensurate with experience *Paid time off and holidays
