Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and other staff members to deliver comprehensive oral health services, including patient assessments and education on proper dental hygiene practices. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures for patients of all ages. Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and vital signs. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Utilize Dentrix for scheduling appointments and documenting patient information. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Knowledge of infection control procedures and ability to maintain a sterile working environment. Proficient in medical coding and understanding of medical records management. Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Ability to assess patient needs accurately and provide appropriate recommendations for care.
