Treatment Coordinator 2 OFFICE LOCATIONS : Fairfield & Oxford HOURS: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday : 8:00 am - 6: 00 pm Description: The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for new patients’ smooth transition into the practice, existing patients’ ongoing dental care, communication with patients during treatment, and communication with other professional offices. Qualifications: • Highly professional and dependable • Willing to learn and take direction • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic experience • Experience in sales is a plus • Possess knowledge of dental terminology. • Understand and comply with HIPAA and HITECH Act of 2009. • Working knowledge of dental practice management software Duties: Patient Services • Introduces and welcomes patients to the office. • Takes patient records, including x-rays, photos, and scans. • Sends, drafts and reviews consent forms and financial documents to ensure they have all been received and signed by patient. • Discuss treatment plans, contracts, Insurance benefits etc. • Answer all patient questions and ease patient concerns in person, by phone, email or text. • Utilization of technology in the office, including digital x-rays and intraoral 3D scanners. • Explanation of office policies and procedures to new patients. • Maintain and utilize recall/pending patient system. • Manage letters to other professionals after initial exam. • Participates in answering phones, emails and scheduling appointments. • Attends all staff meetings, trainings. • Manages marketing, community outreach efforts and social media Records and Finance • Send a copy of the patient record for consultation with other specialists or general practitioners when requested. • Securely store and handle patient records in compliance with legal requirements, including HIPAA privacy and security regulations. • Arrange payment plans with patients Cross-training • Applicant must be willing to help with and cross-train with the following roles: financial coordinator, scheduling coordinator, orthodontic assistant
