Job Summary:
The Manager is an important part of the Learning and Development team and has accountability for execution of development strategies and programs for clinical lines of business. This role will partner closely with the Director, Lines of Business & Continuing Education, and key business partners to implement learning solutions and programs that support the successful implementation and continuous improvement of patient service lines.

The Manager, Lines of Business & Continuing Education, is an individual who can effectively collaborate with leaders, the Clinical Support team, owners and the broader L&D, Talent Management and HR teams. This individual contributor is a performance consultant who can lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical continuing education (CE) programs across our dental service organization. This role is essential in supporting the clinical development of our dental teams, enhancing quality of care, ensuring compliance with licensure requirements, and fostering a culture of lifelong learning.


The Manager, Lines of Business & Continuing Education, will possess excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills and must have the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders, the Clinical Support team, owners and the broader L&D, Talent Management and HR teams to understand specific developments needs for doctors, front-line support roles and others as needed
  • Ensure all CE activities meet accreditation standards and track CE credits for compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve CE programs through feedback, assessments, and outcomes tracking.
  • Manage end-to-end analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of lines of business curricula and programs
  • Manage appropriate external vendors
  • Understand the specific needs of multiple roles as learners so you can advocate and adapt for their specific needs and preferences
  • Evaluate existing programs/content for impact and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Use data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to continuously improve learning experiences
  • Continuously research and stay abreast of industry trends to integrate innovative methodologies and best practices
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional and personal growth by initiating dialogue with team members, attending learning events, engaging in self-directed learning and focusing on professional development goals
  • Plan, organize and execute tasks and activities with urgency
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • Education level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant learning and development experience, ideally in a fast-paced organization with a distributed workforce, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and principles
  • Well versed in digital learning, just-in-time, and blended learning strategies
  • Experience with program management and learning management systems (LMS) 
  • Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing development programs for all audiences
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels in the organization
  • Flexibility and agility to be proactive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs/processes
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., multiple Outlook accounts, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and Zoom
  • Ability to travel as needed
     


Starting salary at $93,000 with a 10% bonus
