Description

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in our family dental office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. As an EFDA, you will support the dentist during procedures, place direct composite restorations and sealants, manage patient records, and maintain a welcoming environment for our patients. Duties: -Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. -Place direct composite restorations -Make, adjust and temporarily cement provisional crowns -Make digital impressions with intraoral scanner -Assist with clear aligner orthodontic therapy -Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. -Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. -Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. -Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively. -Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. -Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in general dentistry and prosthodontics. Qualifications: -Previous experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred. -Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is a plus. -Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. -Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. -Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. -Join our team and contribute to creating beautiful smiles while advancing your career in the dental field!
