We’re excited to welcome a new dental assistant to our team! Our clinical team typically includes three dental assistants and one EFDA, and we’re looking for someone who’s eager to contribute to our fast-paced, supportive, and patient-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care and Preparation: Prepare patients for dental procedures by helping them feel comfortable and explaining procedures. Assist the dentist during treatments and procedures, such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Hand instruments and materials to the dentist and keep the treatment area clean and organized. Instrument Sterilization and Setup: Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment. Set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and ensure all necessary tools are ready for procedures. Radiography and Imaging: Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols. Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle billing and payments if necessary. Maintain accurate patient records, including health history and treatment notes. Patient Education: Provide patients with instructions for oral care following procedures or surgery, including postoperative and general oral health care advice. Inventory and Supplies: Monitor and maintain dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure the clinic is stocked.
