Burtonsville Dental Suite is looking for a Lead Patient Care Coordinator to guide and support our incredible front desk team of four. What You’ll Do as Our Lead Patient Care Coordinator: At Burtonsville Dental Suite, we’ve built a team culture that’s second to none—and we’re looking for a confident, detail-oriented leader to join our front desk family. As our Lead Patient Care Coordinator, you’ll be a key player in delivering the exceptional care our patients have come to expect. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a collaborative, modern office with a streamlined workflow. Your day-to-day will include: Being the primary point of contact for patients—answering questions, easing concerns, and providing outstanding service. Leading a team of 4 front desk team members, helping to keep communication smooth, morale high, and performance aligned with our patient-first values. Scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring every detail is accurate, organized, and confidential. Reviewing accounts, identifying discrepancies, and guiding your team through any necessary corrections with confidence. Helping with new patient intake, collecting forms, and verifying insurance benefits. Coordinating with providers to ensure seamless care and timely follow-ups. Clearly communicating treatment plans, appointment details, and financial information to patients in a way that’s easy to understand and builds trust. Keeping the front office tidy and fully stocked, with a welcoming environment for both patients and teammates. Tackling essential admin tasks like scanning, data entry, and office correspondence. We’re looking for someone who is positive, flexible, and genuinely enjoys helping others succeed—someone who can lead by example and bring good energy to the team each day. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a dental office setting (insurance coordinator, or office manager background preferred). Solid understanding of dental front office responsibilities, including patient scheduling, insurance processes, and treatment coordination. Confident with reviewing patient accounts, identifying balances, and supporting financial discussions. Strong communication skills—with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly and compassionately. A natural leader who thrives in a team environment, encourages collaboration, and helps elevate those around them. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Tech-savvy and adaptable—familiar with dental software (Opendental experience is a plus, but not required).
