Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our friendly and professional dental team. In this role, you'll play a key part in promoting excellent oral health and delivering top-notch care to our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you'll perform initial patient screenings, clean teeth (e.g., remove plaque and tartar), take X-rays, and educate patients on oral hygiene practices. You’ll also assist our dentists in determining treatment plans and addressing dental emergencies. Our office is equipped with advanced technology, including digital radiography, paperless charts, intraoral cameras, ultrasonic scalers, CEREC, and an in-office lab. Dental Hygienist Schedule: Mondays: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Wednesdays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Occasional Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (if available, but not a requirement for the position) Dental Hygienist Key Responsibilities: Ensure patients feel comfortable and at ease during visits Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment Perform comprehensive oral screenings and review health histories Identify signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis Clean teeth and apply preventative treatments like fluoride Educate patients on proper brushing and flossing techniques Provide post-treatment care instructions Take X-rays and dental impressions Assist the dentist in diagnosing and planning treatment Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Monitor and manage dental supply inventory Dental Hygienist Qualifications: Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist Knowledge of HIPAA and current health and safety regulations Skilled in using dental tools and maintaining equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, patient-centered approach to care Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Physical stamina for extended periods of standing and working with patients Associate's or Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist If you are dedicated to providing excellent care and enjoy working in a modern, team-oriented environment, we’d love to meet you!
