Dental Practice Treatment Plan Coordinator Primary Location - Signature Periodontics & Implant Dentistry: SouthPark – 6743 Fairview Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 Additional Locations - Signature Periodontics & Implant Dentistry: Waxhaw – 514 North Broome Street, Waxhaw, NC 28173 - Signature Periodontics & Implant Dentistry: Lake Norman – 9727 Northcross Center Ct, Unit B, Huntersville, NC 28078 Starting Rate: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour; open to discussion Schedule - Monday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - Tuesday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - Wednesday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - Thursday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - Friday - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Job Description At Signature Perio, we rely on knowledgeable professionals to interact with our valued patients who have questions or concerns. The treatment plan coordinator provides comprehensive care to patients by developing, monitoring, and evaluating each specific case. They are responsible for receiving and admitting patients and ensuring that the care for the patients is well coordinated with the clinical staff. They monitor and coordinate treatment plans with patients to educate them about their dental issues and the path towards recovery. This is done by ensuring all insurance information is gathered, verified, and attached to expected treatment. This position will report directly to the office manager and AR director. Responsibilities - Planning and implementation of treatment plans. - Keeping patient records up to date. - Coordinating and executing daily operations within the dental practice. - Managing internal office procedures. - Communicating with dental insurance companies to ensure patient coverage of treatment. - Overseeing patient billing and payment methods. - Sending consent forms, HIPAA notices, medical histories, and appropriate documentation to patients prior to their scheduled treatment. - Correspondence with patients’ referring doctors. - Maintaining good communication between dental professionals, support staff, and patients. Requirements and skills - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience working with and verifying different insurance plans. - Previous experience in a dental practice. - Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening. - Ability to describe procedures in simple language. - Exceptional interpersonal and rapport building skills. - A patient and empathetic attitude. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Adaptability and flexibility. - Comfortable working in fast-paced environments. - Troubleshooting skills, either basic or advanced, depending on the role and industry. - Proficiency with computers, especially with Denticon software, and strong typing skills. - Knowledge of the practice’s services. - Previous experience in a customer support role highly preferred. - Fluency in a second/multiple languages highly preferred.
