Full-time Traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant for Private Orthodontic Office Pay scale is $20-$35 hourly wage, depending on years of experience and orthodontic skills. We offer a compensation package that includes flex health savings account, a competitive bonus structure, PTO and 401k. Responsibilities include: • Communicates with the patients (parents/guardians), orthodontist and other team members effectively • Prepares all orthodontic treatment rooms in advance of orthodontic patient • Restocks all orthodontic treatment rooms and other clinical support areas • Keeps the patient schedule on time by being aware of the daily schedule working efficiently and as a member of a cohesive team • Takes x-rays as prescribed • Able to fabricate study models and Clear retainers • Assists the orthodontist with all registered dental assisting duties, including orthodontic procedures • Records treatment rendered • Sterilizes instruments and equipment after each patient appointment • Demonstrates ability to use assigned computer software and other equipment • Maintains dependable job attendance • Adheres to all OSHA rules of safety and infection control. • Complies with HIPAA and maintains confidential information • Minimum of 3 years of previous orthodontic assisting experience • Has a current Registered Dental Assisting certification • Ability to travel to multiple locations to provide orthodontic dental assisting services is required • Will be required to work one Saturday a month.
