Description

We are seeking a general dentist at Phoenix Smiles in Arlington Texas. We are primarily a Medicaid office and you will be the primary dentist at this location. We are looking for a candidate that is hard working and consistent, this is a great opportunity for newer dentists that may one day want their own office. This also comes with the opportunity to work on Fridays at our purely cosmetic office where we do full smile makeover procedures. Responsibilities: - Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients - Administer anesthetics and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals - Provide preventive dental care and education to patients, including oral hygiene instructions and diet counseling - Interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays and oral scans to determine the presence of dental diseases or abnormalities - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical coding and documentation standards - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy - Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development Skills: - Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry - Knowledge of medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims processing - Experience working with pediatric patients and providing age-appropriate dental care - Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for efficient patient management - Ability to assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans - Competence in performing vital signs measurements and basic medical assessments - Understanding of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry, such as x-rays and CT scans
