Korean-speaking dental hygienist needed to work in a private, modern office in Bayside, NY on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays. Office hours are 9AM-5PM with one hour lunch. Office is located very close to Northern Boulevard for easy access to public transportation. Bilingual in Korean/English is a must! Office has a large Korean patient population so language is non-negotiable. Experience is not required, but preferred. Must have a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and a valid license to practice; Master's is a plus. Looking for candidates who have a positive attitude, the ability to work well with others, as well as the ability to pay attention to detail. Some of your responsibilities will include: -Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination -Sterilize dental instruments properly -Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history -Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis -Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) -Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) -Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures -Take X-rays -Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) -Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Competitive pay based upon experience.
