Responsibilities: Welcome and seat patient cheerfully Prepare and properly set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures Review and update patient's health history; chart progress, treatments, and home care compliance Provide prophylaxis and periodontal treatment Apply fluoride Assess and evaluate patient through exam, patient records, and patient's medical history to assist in diagnosis of dental hygiene problems, disease, and the efficacy of administered treatment plans Complete scheduled treatment in a timely manner Recognize early signs of periodontal disease Capture digital radiographs; capable of interpreting radiographs independently Educate and motivate patient in proper oral hygiene and corrective/preventive measures Assist doctor in hygiene exam Schedule appropriate re-care appointments Maintain equipment and instruments in good working order Adhere to OSHA and office standards Maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPPA standards Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically Certifications/Licenses: Registered Dental Hygiene License from the State of Michigan Radiation Certification CPR Certification Local Anesthesia Certification Nitrous Oxide Certification Compensation Competitive hourly pay: $40-60+/hour Monthly Bonus based on performance.
