Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator Location: Kizer Dental Associates Job Type: Full-Time (32 hours) Job Compensation: Hourly competitive pay based on experience Kizer Dental Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Scheduling Coordinator to manage patient appointments and optimize the daily schedule for two doctors and 2-3 hygienists. The ideal candidate will ensure an efficient, productive workflow while delivering exceptional patient service. Key Responsibilities: • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, maximizing provider productivity. • Manage appointment cancellations, reschedules, and waitlists to minimize downtime. • Coordinate hygiene and treatment schedules to ensure efficiency and patient flow. • Check patients in and out while ensuring accurate documentation and payment collection. • Communicate appointment details, financial policies, and necessary pre-treatment instructions to patients. • Create treatment plans when necessary for follow-up appointments and ensure proper documentation. • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility before scheduling treatment. • Communicate with the office manager if predeterminations need to be filed with insurance. • Handle inbound and outbound scheduling calls professionally and promptly. • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of treatment plans. • Monitor and fill schedule gaps using recall and follow-up systems. • Maintain accurate patient records and update scheduling software as needed. • Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries and concerns. Qualifications: • Previous experience in dental scheduling preferred. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in dental Eaglesoft practice management software is a plus. • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail. • Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance verification is preferred. • Friendly, professional demeanor with a team-oriented mindset.
