A multiservice PPO dental practice in downtown Newark , NJ just off of Broad Street, a block and a half from NJPAC, Berkely College, and three quarters of a mile from Rutgers Health Sciences campus is seeking a Dental Assistant for three to four days a week (No Weekends). The dental assistant is a key figure for the patient experience in a dental practice from being escorted to the dental chair in a timely manner to returning to the front desk when treatment is completed. Seeking a punctual candidate with excellent skills in patient management, at least 2 years experience & an X-ray license. Spanish or Portuguese speaking a plus! The initial Salary will range from $25-$27/hourly based on experience with bonuses and increases considered after 6months based on performance and initiative. Parking available across the street from the office and is a paid benefit. The office is 3 blocks from Penn Station and can be reached through the Gateway Complex which begins across the street from the office. The dental assistant is responsible for sterilization and maintenance of the treatment rooms according to OSHA standards, sending out, tracking and receiving lab cases, stocking all rooms, ordering supplies, and working with Dr. Weiner to review the schedule and prepare for treatment. The office facilities are modern and we continue to improve. Currently utilizing Dentrix Ascend. We encourage the staff to take CE courses and provide finance support and are open to new strategies. Office staff is small and we all are encouraged to work together as a team and expected to support each other.
