Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures. Perform X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups using Dentrix or similar software. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a gentle approach to children. Assist in endodontics and other specialized treatments as required. Ensure all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to health standards. Knowledge in scanning for patients for digital work. Requirements: Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in general dentistry is preferred. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Proficiency in using dental software Open Dental, Dexis & Studio. Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols diligently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
