Description

High quality, fee for service periodontal office. Not in network with any HMO or PPO insuriance programs. Long term employee recently resigned due to personal, family responsibilities. One doctor, same office since 1981. Low staff turnover. Two other full time employees: Office manager / front desk (7 years), and chariside assistant (15 years). Three hygiene patients morning and three patients afternoon. Hygiene appointments are one hour, fifteen minutes. This allows plenty of time for piezo ultrasonic subgingival and pocket debridement, hand scaling, and polishing., plus patient home care assessment and instructions. Digital intra-oral radiographs sometimes. Doctor checks every patient and updates periodontal charting, with hygienist entering values on computer based records. Doctor also directs hygienist in placing Arestin localized antibiotic in specific pockets, as needed. Computers in each operatory are networked, so that hygienist can efficiently collaborate with front desk, posting charges and scheduling. After initial 30 day introductory period, the following benefits are provided: Group healthcare insurance. Two weeks paid vacation during July when office is closed for summer break. One work week (29 hrs) personal or sick days (prorated for new hire). Unused hours paid as bonus at year end. Paid national holidays, as well as Jewish High Holidays and Doctor's birthday, if occurring on work days. We place the highest priority on the patient's best interests, rather than practice financial considerations. We are most happy, and get the greatest satisfaction, when our patients' periodontal health is being well maintained, and not in need of active treatment intervention.
