To prosper as a Hygiene Assistant, you should have:
• At least 1–2 years of continuous experience working in a dental practice (preferred)
• Knowledge of dental terminology and sterilization procedures
• Stellar verbal and written communication skills

More about your role as a Hygiene Assistant:
• Prepare and seat patients for hygiene appointments
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, and set up trays for hygienists
• Assist hygienists with procedures, including cleanings, periodontal therapy, x-rays, and charting
• Collect and record patient medical and dental history
• Ensure operatories and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use
