Sugar Land General Dental office (Private Practice) is looking for a new dental hygienist to join our team! We are professional, engaging, supportive and our goal is to provide compassionate, quality dental care. Registered Dental Hygienist with experience preferred, but we are also willing to train a new graduate for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. High standard of care is a must. Perform assessments of patients’ oral health, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing dental conditions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. Collaborate with dentist to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school, with active hygiene license in the state of Texas Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Proficiency in using dental systems (Open Dental preferred) and dental imaging equipment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Laser certification is preferred but not required Job Type: Part Time (Hiring for Monday Only at this time - potential room for more days in the future!)
