The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver preventive and therapeutic services, educate patients on oral health, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and documenting findings accurately.
* Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Assist dentists during procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
* Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
* Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with dental regulations.
* Stay updated on dental terminology, medical terminology, and systems relevant to patient care.
*Experience*
* Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
* Certified in nitrous oxide, laser therapies and comfortable with complex periodontal patients that see our Periodontist who visits monthly.
* Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus.
* Knowledge of general dentistry practices, infection control procedures, and medical imaging techniques is essential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are required.
