taxesAre you in charge of payroll for your office?  If so, you have a new filing deadline for 2017!  Forms W-2 and most Form 1099-MISC are due to the IRS by Jan. 31, 2017 (same date they are due to the taxpayer).  Meaning, you no longer have until Feb. 28 or Mar. 31 if filing electronically!

Do you have a Corporation as your business entity?  If so, calendar year Corporate Tax Returns are now due April 17th instead of March 15th.  (Fiscal year returns will be due on the 15th day of the 4th month and can be extended for six months except for June 30 fiscal year ends).

Do you have a Partnership?  If so, the filing deadline is one month earlier!  The new Partnership tax return filing deadline will be March 15, 2017 instead of April 17th.  If you file for an extension, the extended due date will remain September 15, 2017.

Do you have a Trust or Estate Tax Return to file?  If so, Trust and Estate extended due dates are now September 30th instead of October 15th.

We can keep track of all these deadlines for you and help you file your tax returns!  Give me a call if you would like to discuss how we can help.  I may be reached at 770-552-8500 or www.thewillefordgroup.com
