Happy New Year, dental family! I hope you had an incredible holiday season spent with family and friends and filled with gratitude and love. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

At DentalPost, we had a fantastic year! Thank you for your continued support. I credit all of our success to you, our community. Together, we have been able to help people find jobs they love and build the best dental teams. As I reflect on the past year, it’s incredible the amount of work my team put in to help us. We work hard so you have the tools you need to make a better hire, or find the right dental home. Our goal is to make your life easier so you can focus on what you do best – providing excellent patient care.

As you might have noticed, we added many new faces to our DentalPost team! As we rapidly grow, we have to continue to build our team to reach new heights. My goal is to always hire people who are smarter than I am. We have an amazing culture built on strong core values and it continues to strengthen as we grow.

In 2016, we added exciting features to our site and completely rebranded. We also updated our website’s look and feel to make it easier to use. We launched DentalPost EDU, our new continuing education platform. Members can easily stay up-to-date and earn CE credits online. We listened to you and brainstormed ways to help dental students prepare for their future. This led to us to create an Instructor Toolkit. In this, instructors can download information to help their students get a job they love after graduation.

We also announced many exciting partnerships last year and are thrilled to continue working together in 2017. We are the official job board of the California Dental Hygiene Association. Together, we are working to help California-based dental professionals find jobs they love. IgniteDA was another crucial alliance for us as we continue to be a support system for dental assistants across the country. In September, the DentalPost team hit the road to Orlando and made some serious waves as a partner of SIROWorld (now called Dentsply Sirona World)! With our glow sticks and beach balls in hand, we had an incredible time learning and growing with our dental family. It’s count down time to DSWorld in Las Vegas, the ultimate dental event. We will see you there September 15-17!

Building on my dental hygiene education, I’m constantly learning more to steer this ship. I had the unique opportunity to travel across the pond to attend classes at the London Business School. What an amazing growth experience it was for me. I flew home with new friends, books, and knowledge to bring home to my DentalPost team. I firmly believe we have to continue to step outside of our comfort zone in order to grow.

One of the biggest highlights of the year was making the Inc. 5000 list for the second year in a row! We made quite the jump from #2272 to #1979. I am so proud of our team for their hard work. It is an honor to be one of America’s fastest growing private companies. And, I’ll tell you a little secret. I run it out of the basement of my home. I am fortunate to have an incredible support system – my family, friends, DP team and our dental community. Without each of you, none of this would be possible. We’re ecstatic about what we are bringing forward to change the future of the dental industry.

Happy New Year to all my dental family and friends. Thank you for all your help, advice and suggestions. We have listened and we are glad you are part of our journey and success. I strive to be the best leader, mother and friend. I hope 2017 will be the greatest year for each of you and we are here to help you. I truly believe your career is more than a job. It’s paying the rent, paying for college, buying a home or a car. So, on behalf of the entire DentalPost team, thank you friends for another unbelievable year. All the credit goes to you!
