Dental Hygienist

*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
*Duties*
* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages.
* Conduct thorough documentation reviews and maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
* Take and review vital signs to assess patient health prior to treatment.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Assist in pediatric dentistry by providing care tailored to younger patients, ensuring a comfortable experience.
* Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and team members.
* Operate medical imaging systems to capture necessary diagnostic images as required.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic to ensure a safe working environment.
*Qualifications*
* Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
* Experience with documentation review processes and maintaining medical records.
* Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is preferred but not mandatory.
* Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
* Ability to operate medical imaging systems for diagnostic purposes.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, especially children.
* Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on best practices in dental hygiene.

*Dental Associates of Delaware - Part-time and Full-time Dental Hygienists Needed!**Overview*
We are seeking skilled, part-time or full-time Dental Hygienist to join our teams in the Millsboro DE and Ocean View DE locations! The ideal candidate will be passionate about oral health and providing exceptional patient care in a dental clinic setting.
*Duties*
- Perform dental hygiene procedures following the dentist's guidance
- Conduct oral health screenings and assessments
- Take dental x-rays using medical imaging equipment
- Participate in recalls, sterile, and other activities adding to the production of the office during downtime
- Maintain accurate patient medical records using Denticon, Open Dental, or similar systems
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices
- Assist with general dentistry procedures as needed
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols
*Skills*
- Proficiency in medical imaging and dental clinic procedures
- Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with medical records management and practice management software, (Denticon preferred)
- Strong grasp of coding for billing purposes
