Advancing Implant Care: Surgical and Non-Surgical Pathways in Peri-implantitis
Feb 05, 2026
Virtual
Details
Peri-implantitis is an increasingly common and complex challenge for clinicians. Successful management requires a clear understanding of the disease process, evidence-based decision-making, and the use of minimally invasive techniques that prioritise long-term stability of implants and surrounding tissues. In this webinar, Dr Boota Singh Ubhi will share his clinical approach to diagnosing and treating peri-implantitis. Using real-life cases, he will highlight decision pathways, instrumentation choices—including the role of NSK products in treatments such as powder therapy and implantoplasty—and other surgical considerations. The session will provide both a strategic framework and practical tips, helping clinicians enhance patient outcomes while improving peri-implant outcomes. The presentation will conclude with a live Q&A to explore participant questions in detail.
Aim
- To provide clinicians with an evidence-based overview of peri-implantitis management.
- To demonstrate the integration of S3 guideline recommendations into a structured, minimally invasive treatment framework.
- To showcase the role of modern instrumentation, including NSK solutions, in non-surgical and surgical peri-implantitis care.
Objectives
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Explain the aetiology and risk factors of peri-implantitis in line with S3 guidelines.
- Identify diagnostic criteria and early clinical signs to improve case detection.
- Evaluate treatment options across non-surgical and surgical phases, including when to escalate care.
- Select appropriate instrumentation for biofilm removal, implant surface decontamination, and implantoplasty.
- Apply minimally invasive treatment principles to optimise long-term peri-implant outcomes.
- Reflect on case examples to inform their own decision-making in managing complex peri-implant cases.
