Advances in bone and soft tissue augmentation have assisted clinicians in correcting ridge deficiencies for optimal implant placement.

However, these procedures increase patient costs, treatment time, and predictability remains multi-factorial. Sloped implant platform design may avoid or minimize the need for ridge augmentation procedures. The aim of this presentation is to discuss advantages and indications of implants with a sloped platform design in implant dentistry.
