• Focus and prioritize efforts of team to support Doctor achieving their Top 10 Professional goals
• Create alignment with doctor through daily one on ones, morning huddles and weekly touch points discussing communication, connection and support needed
• Commit to serving as a business partner for the Doctor collaborating and developing quarterly and annual financial goals
• Help Doctor prioritize, plan and block schedule for CE through Doctor Education and Leadership programs
• Understand the benefits and metrics of DMP and help Doctor to monitor progress
• Identify and support future team growth by selecting candidates (BA, DA, Hygienists) that are an 80% match for both the position and the practice
• Partner with Doctors to identify skills needed for open positions and proper selection team within the practice
• Successfully onboard new team members through partnerships with recruiting and support office
• Support team members to prioritize and plan their training through Core Essentials and beyond for growth in their roles

 Minimum Qualifications 

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree or 3 - 5 years’ leadership experience (in a professional office, hospitality, retail, banking, medical, etc.)
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
• Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
• Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
• Trustworthy; maintain patient confidentially and team ethics

Preferred Experience  

• 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting 
• 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable 
• Dentrix or other dental software experience 

Physical Requirements:

As an Accounting Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:  

• Oversight of a team of individuals who ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and  applicable accounting policies. 
•  Perform detailed reconciliations reviews for balance sheet accounts monthly
•  Responsible for ensuring the monthly close process is executed timely and all balance sheet reconciliations  are completed accurately.
• Ensure compensation  expenditure reporting is accurate and distributed timely
• Lead the coordination of accounting duties for captive insurance and benefit audits.
• Respond to requests for audit items for the company’s external financial audit.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close reporting including preparation of  footnotes with proper support
•  Management of process improvement initiatives
•  Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners 
• Assist with system design and implementations when appropriate 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Must be able to work onsite at least once a month and reside within driving distance of either Indianapolis, IN or Effingham, IL.

  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other finance related degree required. 

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance accounting role. 

• Ability to learn and master accounting concepts and in-depth understanding of US GAAP 

• Ability to maintain a monthly checklist of activities, complete tasks as necessary and ask questions when needed. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to identify discrepancies, perform research therein, and work toward resolution. 

• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint 

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Must be able to effectively handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. 

 Desirable Qualifications: 

• Degree in an accounting field 

• CPA designation 

• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience 

• Prior experience with compensation accounting and bonus programs

• Credentialing with Dental Insurance Plans: Ability and willingness to become credentialed with various dental insurance plans, ensuring seamless and comprehensive coverage for our patients. 

Physical Requirements:

• Versatility in Sitting and Standing: Expect prolonged periods of sitting and standing, adapting to the dynamic nature of dental practice. 

• Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds when necessary, ensuring your physical stamina aligns with the demands of the role. 

• Virtual and In-Person Training: Availability to attend periodic virtual training sessions (or in-person when required) throughout the year. We prioritize ongoing education to enhance your skills and keep you at the forefront of industry advancements. 

• Tuberculosis (TB) Testing: As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
