Job Duties May Include:

• Conduct patient screening procedures; including assessment of oral health conditions, review of patient health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse
• Take digital radiographs
• Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment
• Demonstrate proficient skills in dental prophylaxis and proper use of cavitron/prophy jet
• Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth used by dentists to evaluate patient treatment needs)
• Promote an atmosphere supportive of good dental and general health by demonstrating proper oral hygiene, educating patients on techniques of flossing and brushing in accordance with protocol, effectively communicating oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counseling, and dispensing proper oral hygiene aids
• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures
• Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient
• Chart entire dentition and hard and soft tissue evaluation, including existing restorations, decay, perio charting and treatment documentation
• Provide positive, professional leadership role; demonstrate positive patient/staff rapport
• Stock all needed supplies and maintain equipment
• Successfully maintain recall system
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of applicable computer functions

Hours:

• Monday: 9:00pm - 5:00pm
• Tuesday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
• Friday: 9:00am - 2:00pm

Chicago Dental Implants, Oral & Facial Surgery | Treatment Coordinator

Our strong team is growing, and we are seeking to add a highly organized and personable Treatment Coordinator to our Joliet office.

As a Treatment Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for our patients throughout their treatment journey. You will be responsible for assisting patients in understanding their treatment options, coordinating appointments, and providing exceptional customer service. Surgical and dental experience required.

Candidate must also be willing to travel to our locations in Orland Park, Plainfield, Joliet and Downers Grove. (Travel will mainly be between Joliet and Plainfield - with travel sometimes necessary to the other locations. Main office would be in Joliet.)

Hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm

This candidate will provide support to the offices and assist the professional dental staff with treatment in providing quality service to those that we serve.

Job Requirements:

• The dental assistant is the right hand of the doctor taking care of the needs of our patients

• Candidate will efficiently provide clinical instrumentation and sterilization, so the doctor is able to care for each patient

• Dental assistant will provide a warm, calm environment welcoming otherwise anxious patients into a clean and safe operatory.

• Candidate will set the tone for the appointment by engaging in purposeful conversations that identify the patient’s emotional and clinical needs

• In addition, the assistant is required to obtain all pertinent information through effective charting, proper set up and break down of the operatory, efficiently take diagnostic digital x - rays, and have a proficient understanding of equipment and procedure flow

• Lastly, candidate is required to have a strong knowledge and ability to comply with OSHA, CDC and HIPAA guidelines

Job Duties:

• Assisting the endodontist during procedures such as root canal therapy, apicoectomy, and other endodontic treatments

• Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment for procedures

• Taking and developing dental x-rays as directed by the endodontist

• Providing patient care and comfort during procedures, including explaining treatments and answering patient questions

• Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment notes

• Educating patients on post-treatment care instructions and oral hygiene practices

• Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the endodontic treatment area

• Following infection control protocols and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff

• Assisting with other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the endodontic practice
