Position Overview: We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team! This position supports both the dentist and dental hygienist during patient care, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and sealant applications. Support the dental hygienist during cleanings, X-rays, and fluoride treatments. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in compliance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays. Comfort and engage young patients to reduce anxiety and encourage good oral hygiene habits. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting. Educate parents and patients on post-treatment care and preventive practices. Help manage inventory and order supplies as needed. Qualifications: Required: Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program and registration with the state. CPR certification. Experience working with children is a strong plus. Excellent communication and multitasking skills. Friendly, patient, and calm demeanor — especially with young patients. Preferred: Certifications in sealants and coronal polishing (Expanded Functions). Pay: Based on experience and qualifications.
