Description
New State-of-the-art dental office in Batavia, looking for friendly, team-oriented dental assistant for permanent full-time position (approx 30 hours/week) . Dental assisting experience required. May be required to help out at front desk. Salary starting at $23/hour or more depending on experience. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years chair side dental assisting experience. Proficient in dental software and technology Dentrix and Dexis Proficient in working in a fast-paced dental practice environment. Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Requirements: Certification: Coronal polishing and sealant certifications, CPR X-Ray Proficiency: Taking quality (diagnostic) radiographs, including panoramic images and Cephalometric imaging. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with patients and team members. Flexibility: Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Compassion: Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients, providing a comforting and caring environment. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Welcome and comfort patients, helping them feel at ease during their dental visits. Prepare patients for treatments, explaining procedures, and answering any questions they may have. Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during dental procedures, handing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment. Anticipate the dentist's needs to ensure smooth and efficient procedures. Sterilization and Equipment Maintenance: Properly sterilize dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols. Maintain dental equipment and ensure their functionality. Radiographic Imaging: Take and process dental X-rays, ensuring accurate and clear images for diagnosis and treatment planning. Digital scanning (iTero): for laboratory fabricated prosthetics. Intraoral and extraoral pictures for diagnostic records. Dental Records: Dental software (Dentrix): Accurately update and maintain patient records, including charting, treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories. Patient Education: Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions, post-treatment care guidelines, and preventive dental health information. Appointment Scheduling: Assist in scheduling patient appointments, and coordinating with the front office staff for efficient patient flow. Supply Management: Monitor dental supplies inventory and place orders when needed to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
