Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Needed – Two-Doctor Office Are you an enthusiastic, compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist looking to make an impact in a supportive and dynamic environment? We want YOU to join our practice growing dental team! We are offering very flexible hours with full and part time opportunities. We offer a Monday through Thursday work week with hours from 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch. Friday hours are an option also. Benefits offered for full time employees (min 32 hours/ week) including vacation, personal days, health insurance, and free in-house dental care. Skills Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Valid VA license to practice Local anesthesia license preferred but not required Responsibilities Administers prophylactic or periodontal treatment by the scaling and polishing of teeth. Documents area of existing restorations and notable areas of possible decay and disease for dentist's review. Takes x-rays to determine extent of any decay and disease. Administers fluoride treatment as needed. Updates medical history of patient Instructs patients in oral hygiene technique, answering patient questions and providing other educational information relevant to oral hygiene. Practices universal precautions and other sterilization and infection control procedures and maintains equipment.
