Our team is dedicated to making dental visits a positive experience for every child. We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team! Job Description: We are seeking an energetic and patient-centered Pediatric Dental Assistant to support our pediatric dentist and contribute to our goal of delivering exceptional care to young patients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with children, have a strong attention to detail, and be passionate about promoting oral health education. Key Responsibilities: Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays (as per state guidelines). Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and sterile. Greet and prepare patients for their appointments, making them feel comfortable and at ease. Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate, up-to-date dental records. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Manage patient flow and ensure that appointments run on schedule. Ensure a positive, caring experience for young patients by maintaining a cheerful and friendly demeanor. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, filing, and maintaining patient charts. Requirements: Dental Assistant certification Experience working in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required. Experience working in orthodontics dentistry is a plus but not required. Knowledge of dental terminology, dental procedures, and sterilization techniques. Excellent communication skills, especially when working with children and parents. Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred, to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base and ensure all families have a positive experience. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive, professional attitude. CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
