Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Manager, SEO/AIO to join our at The Aspen Group. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and execution of innovative organic search strategies that will directly contribute to our organizational goals of driving patient acquisition and brand awareness.

As the Senior Manager, SEO/AIO, you will oversee and manage organic search channel initiatives for the Aspen Dental website. You will work closely with senior leadership to align SEO/AIO strategies with business objectives, ensuring SEO/AIO initiatives drive measurable results.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in search engine optimization, with strong analytical skills, and a passion for creative problem-solving. You must also be an excellent communicator and storyteller, capable of translating complex data insights into actionable strategies that resonate with stakeholders and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development & Execution: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive SEO/AIO strategies to drive high value patient acquisition across various service lines.

  • SEO/AIO Agency Coordination: Coordinate with agency resources to deliver end-to-end content and/or link earning campaign processes, from planning to execution, optimization, and reporting, ensuring that all campaigns meet or exceed performance KPIs.

  • Collaboration with Leadership: Collaborate directly with executive leadership to define SEO/AIO objectives and align SEO/AIO strategies with broader organizational goals. Present performance insights and recommendations to executives and stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., content, creative, analytics) and external agency partners to ensure campaigns are optimized for the target audience and driving acquisition performance.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, and Google Search Console to monitor performance and adjust tactics as necessary. Own the brand’s configuration in Semrush to ensure the service is being fully leveraged.

  • Generative AI Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in Generative AI, and apply these insights to continuously improve efficiency, reduce time to market, and accelerate results. Coordinate and collaborate with agency partners to develop and deploy content and technical strategies to establish our brands as trusted and authoritative resources for inclusion in AI search (AI Overviews, AI Mode, AI search engines, etc.).

  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide detailed, data-driven reports and actionable insights to stakeholders, focusing on performance trends and drivers and actionable recommendations for future initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 5 years of experience in SEO/AIO, and at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

  • Experience Scaling Content Initiatives: Expertise in scaling localized content across pages representing more than 1,000 physical locations.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions and optimize campaign performance. Proficiency in analytics & reporting tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, etc.).

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives around performance, insights, recommendations, and business impact.

  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including agencies and vendors.

  • Results-Driven: A track record of driving tangible, measurable results from SEO/AIO campaigns.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage external agencies, and collaborate across departments to deliver on strategic goals.

Desired Skills & Attributes

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience in Digital Channels: Understanding of Paid Search (Google Ads, Bing), Paid Social (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok), Programmatic Display, and Online Video (YouTube, OTT) channels and how they interact/intersect with SEO/AIO strategies.

  • Creative Problem Solving: Innovative thinking and the ability to adapt to the evolving digital landscape.

  • Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the healthcare industry, including patient acquisition strategies, HIPAA compliance, and navigating industry-specific challenges.

Annual Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000/year, with a generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match.
