We are looking for an Insurance and Billing Coordinator to join our multiple dentist practice. This person’s primary duties are to assist patients with the processing of dental insurance claims, contact insurance companies and patients regarding coverage determinations and outstanding balances. The Insurance and Billing Coordinator collects and processes payments from patients and insurance companies, manages outstanding claims, works with the Patient Care Coordinator and oversees daily deposits. Primary Duties: Balance daily deposits and process billing statements Process insurance payments and ensure timely collection from patients and insurers and that payments are posted to the correct patient accounts and deposited into the correct bank account. Daily attention to insurance claims including requests for additional information and denials Ensure all office bills are paid in a timely manner Backup for the Patient Care Coordinator Essential Qualifications: Minimum 2 years dental office experience Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Dentrix Good mathematical aptitude to prepare and interpret financial reports, collect and track payments, and review account balances Understanding of dental procedure codes and experience with dental insurance billing Practice appropriate written and verbal skills with patients and staff Be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings Must maintain punctual attendance Job Details: Post Family Dental 333 N.
