The University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry (UIC COD) is seeking a full-time, Dental Clinic Clerk I to join a worldwide leader in oral health education, clinical care and research that is patient-centered and evidence-based.
The College of Dentistry is the largest oral health college in the State of Illinois, provides care for 35,000 patients a year, and has over 500 students seeking dental degrees including DMD, PhD and Master’s programs.
The Dental Clinic Clerk I is utilized throughout UIC COD in the Pre-doctoral Clinics, Specialty Clinics, and Office for Financial Affairs. The Dental Clinic Clerk I provides a variety of patient-related dental support functions, which include checking in patients, verifying insurance at the point of contact, establishing and maintaining dental charts, collecting/posting all forms of patient payments, scheduling and confirming appointments and interacting with patients at the UIC College of Dentistry Clinics
Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have one year (12 months) experience on any of the following: Certified Dental Assistant in a dental clinic facility, program, or in dentistry practice, if required by employing institution, credit for college/university course work and/or training in dental care, health care related areas, or closely related medical/dental areas, or customer service/management in a medical/dental setting
