DSM - Dental Sleep Medicine Opportunity for dental assistant who will be in a practice that is 100% DSM. Our office provides oral appliance therapy for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Chronic Snoring patients. Experience in this field is a bonus but not required. The office is located in McKinney and is called Dental Sleep Solutions of Greenville & McKinney. You will work at the McKinney location. This is a new position we are adding to our growing practice. We would like to have this from Tues - Friday, however this can be discussed as well. This is an exciting opportunity for dental assistants who are looking for a big career change and want to get out of the general dentistry world. Dental Sleep Medicine is specific to providing oral appliances for the management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Chronic Snoring. The devices truly change our patients lives and being a part of this every day is extremely rewarding. If you have interest in this, please contact me so we can discuss the possibilities. Duties will include - Assisting and Supporting the Sleep Dentist, where needed. - Working independently with sleep patients, which may include the following, once trained: educating the patient on Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Dental Sleep Medicine, taking panoramic radiograph, taking and reviewing patient health history and feedback, taking digital intraoral scans, delivering and fitting sleep appliances, performing follow up visits. This is something we will train you on if you do not have experience in DSM. - Managing Lab Cases - Managing Operatories, Lab, and Supply Inventory. - Providing Front Office Support, where needed. - Providing patients with compassionate, quality care.
