Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic Pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE 1-2YRS. CORONAL POLISHING, NITROUS OXIDE MONITORING LICENSE AS WELL. Open three days during the week- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (8-5pm) and we are also open 2 Saturdays a month (8am-12pm). Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards. Manage and write clinical notes in Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Monitor vital signs of patients as needed during procedures. Provide chairside assistance in various dental specialties, including IV sedation and nitrous oxide treatment. Provide coronal polishing and sealant application Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following infection control protocols at all times. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of common dental procedures. Experience with Dentrix. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques is advantageous. Strong skills in infection control measures to ensure patient safety. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively to assist the dentist efficiently. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient care. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
