Treatment Plan coordinator/Front Desk 1. Strong Communication Skills Explains complex dental procedures in clear, simple language. Listens actively to patients’ concerns and questions. Builds trust and rapport, making patients feel cared for. Supports patients emotionally throughout their care journey. 3. Organizational Skills Manages multiple patient treatment plans without errors. Coordinates appointments, follow-ups, and referrals smoothly. Maintains accurate records and financial documentation. 4. Financial Knowledge Understands dental insurance policies and financing options. Can present treatment costs and payment plans clearly and honestly. Works with patients to find affordable solutions without compromising care. 5. Sales and Case Presentation Skills Persuasively presents treatment options to maximize case acceptance. Educates patients on the value of recommended treatments. Handles objections professionally, focusing on benefits and outcomes. 6. Team Player Collaborates closely with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and front desk staff. Keeps the entire team informed on treatment progress and patient needs. Helps create a seamless patient experience. 7. Detail-Oriented and Accurate/ be familiar with Dentrix is a plus Reviews treatment plans for accuracy before presenting them to patients. Ensures no detail is missed in scheduling, billing, or communication. Prevents misunderstandings that could delay treatment or affect trust. 8. Tech-Savvy Proficient in dental practice management software (like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.). Comfortable using digital tools for scheduling, charting, and financial planning. 9. Ethical and Honest Maintains integrity in financial discussions. Avoids pressuring patients into unnecessary treatment. Respects patient autonomy while guiding them toward optimal care. 10. Problem-Solving Skills Finds solutions to scheduling, insurance, or patient compliance issues. Thinks creatively to help patients commit to and complete their treatment.
